The frame is CNC machined from 6061 aluminum, and the mesh is a custom pattern in phosphated steel that is powder coated for maximum durability and corrosion resistance. The whole Vent weighs only about 2 lbs. which is less than the factory scoop and splitter.
This item is powder coated in semi-flat black - both the mesh and the surround. The powder coating is also sandable/paintable.
Recommended for cars with front-mount intercoolers only.
Hood Vent Scoop Delete is pre-assembled and ready to install, which takes less than a half hour. Comes complete with all the hardware needed (in stainless steel). No drilling is required at all, since the the factory scoop mounting points are used.
